What Is a Payment Password and What to Do If It's Lost?

A payment password is a secret code required to withdraw money from your account. Only someone who knows this password can perform a withdrawal. You can set or change your payment password in the "Security" section of your profile.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) as an Alternative to a Payment Password

2FA also serves to protect fund withdrawals but differs in that, instead of a static code, it uses a dynamic six-digit combination that changes every 30 seconds. This provides a higher level of security, and we recommend using this feature to protect your account.

How to Set Up Protection in Your Profile

In your profile's security settings, you can choose your method of protection:

  • Set a payment password, or

  • Activate two-factor authentication (2FA) through any authentication app like Google Authenticator or Authy.

What to Do If You're Asked for a Payment Password You Didn't Set

If you're prompted for a payment password during a withdrawal and you didn't set one, it may mean someone set it without your knowledge. This could indicate your account has been compromised. Here's what to do:

  1. Immediately contact support and request a temporary block on your account.

  2. Check and secure your account from potential threats.

  3. Review the recommendations in the FAQ section titled "About Security on the Site."

  4. Ask support to remove the payment password and restore access to your account.
